Why does the community exist?

The Schumacher & Dartington Alumni Community exists to offer a continuity of connection for alumni of Schumacher College and Dartington Arts School.

It is container for a community of practice, a way of being together that balances the inner human journey with outward acts that respond to the times in which we find ourselves.

It’s ‘a beautiful and paradoxical place with a distinct lineage of minds and souls deeply engaged with the more-than-human’ that proposes to serve as a container for:

• Ongoing journeys of learning, meaning and connectedness;
• Peer-to-peer support towards a more equitable and ecologically connected world;
• Collaboration on projects, frameworks and models that move beyond current paradigms;
• Sharing worldviews, or ways of ‘being’ in the world.
